The conference theme for the 2019 CUNY CUE Conference is Transforming Teaching into Learning.

The organizers encourage submissions that respond to questions about the nature of learning.

Topics to consider: undergraduate research, ePortfolios, service learning, internships, capstone courses and projects, faculty development, STEM initiatives.

Who is at the Table?
Learning for all

Topics to consider: co-requisite models, immersion and pre-matriculation opportunities, summer bridge workshops, supporting students’ access and completion, common intellectual experiences, first year seminar/experiences.

Where is the Public Discourse?
Learning in the Open

Topics to consider: OERs, interdisciplinary courses, diversity and global learning experiences, on-line resources.

Why This Place?
Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls

Topics to consider: place-based learning, student success models, service learning, learning communities, interdisciplinary perspectives, community service initiatives, internships, global learning.

How Do Leaders Emerge?
Learning to Achieve

Topics to consider: learning communities, writing intensive courses, supplemental instruction and tutoring, mentoring, Writing Across the Curriculum, Quantitative Reasoning, communication skill building.

When Do Transitions Matter?
Learning as Power

Topics to consider: gateway courses, advisement and transfer initiatives, degree mapping, collaborative assignments and projects, first year experiences, diversity and global learning.
