The annual CUE conference is an opportunity to share evidence-based practice across CUNY aimed at improving student success, retention and graduation, and successful transfer. The 2017 CUE conference will focus on improving student outcomes in developmental and gateway courses, with special attention to acceleration models and the impact on advancing equity through effective models.
The BMCC CUE conference review committee welcomes proposals from all CUNY faculty that adhere to the following parameters:
- Proposals must showcase a pedagogical or curricular model or an intervention in association with a particular pedagogical or curricular model that has proven effective in improving student outcomes in developmental and/or gateway courses.
- Presentation must include data to support consideration of model for possible replication.
- Models or interventions for possible showcase include— but are not limited to— reducing developmental sequences, mainstreaming, contextualization, co-requisites, supplemental instruction, bridge programs, immersion programs, hybrid and blended learning solutions, addressing the needs of the ESL population.
- Presentations should provide for interaction with and among those in the audience; break-out sessions are 45-minutes long.
